e-Governance is to ease government functioning in order to create Simple, Accountable, Responsive and Transparent governance. The Government of Gujarat (GoG) has come a long way in implementation of the various e-Governance initiatives in the state, in order to adopt the best practices and key reforms.
The evolution of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has brought a whole new paradigm for governance by which we are heading towards ease of living through e-Governance.
The goals of e-Governance are:
a. Better service delivery to citizens
b. Ushering in transparency and accountability
c. Empowering people through information
d. Improved efficiency within Governments
e. Improve interface between business and industry

All web sites should also be made available in Hindi & regional languages of the states so that every citizen can understand it & can get benefitted by using them.
Opening up of more n more Jan Mitra outlets (like e-mitra in Rajasthan) will help public at large to have ease to access to all online available services.
