e-Governance is to ease government functioning in order to create Simple, Accountable, Responsive and Transparent governance. The Government of Gujarat (GoG) has come a long way in implementation of the various e-Governance initiatives in the state, in order to adopt the best practices and key reforms.
The evolution of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) has brought a whole new paradigm for governance by which we are heading towards ease of living through e-Governance.
The goals of e-Governance are:
a. Better service delivery to citizens
b. Ushering in transparency and accountability
c. Empowering people through information
d. Improved efficiency within Governments
e. Improve interface between business and industry

Since this discussion initiated in 2022 ( 4 yrs ago ), since then tremendous technology upgradations implemented in eGovernance . But one thing not happened, that is integration of state eGovernance with central eGovernance wherever applicable , for example vehicle related eServices
